Die Freundinnen Donna und Keri werden nach einem schweren Autounfall ins Krankenhaus gebracht. Nachdem Donna dort schon bald ihren Verletzungen erliegt, übernimmt Megan die Untersuchung der Leiche und stellt fest, dass es Keri ist, die als Donna für tot erklärt wurde. Außerdem scheint der Unfall nicht für deren Tod verantwortlich zu sein. Vor dem Aufprall wurde auf die beiden Mädchen geschossen. Megan findet heraus, dass eine Frau auf das Auto gefeuert haben muss.
