In der Stadt bricht ein Virus aus, das sich mit ungeheurer Geschwindigkeit verbreitet. Eines der ersten Opfer ist Dani Alvarez , mit der sich Peter verabredet hatte. Kurz nachdem ein Fremder ihr einen Drink spendiert hatte, verliert sie die Kontrolle über sich und wird überfahren. Megan arbeitet fieberhaft daran, die Quelle des Virus zu finden und muss wohl oder übel die Befehle des Seuchenschutzexperten Dr. Stafford befolgen.
