Erst nach 48 Stunden meldet die Mutter eines neunjährigen Jungen das Verschwinden ihres Sohnes in St. Louis. Sie ist chronisch depressiv und dachte, er wäre bei seiner Großmutter. Als ein weiterer Junge in der Stadt spurlos verschwindet, wird die BAU auf ein Muster aufmerksam, nach dem der Entführer die Kinder ausgewählt hat .
