Ein amerikanisches Ehepaar ist im Irak Opfer eines Heckenschützen geworden. Gibbs versucht, Kontakt mit einem Eliteschützen der US-Armee aufzunehmen, dessen Einheit in derselben Region vor sechs Monaten operierte und auch in einen Hinterhalt geraten war. Nur dieser Schütze, Aaron Davis , hatte den Angriff damals überlebt.
