Ein Toter im Hafen erweist sich als der ehemalige Navy-Angehörige und spätere IT-Unternehmer Larry Overson. Das Team verdächtigt dessen Ex-Kollegen Mark Powell (Kaj-Eric Eriksen) der Tat. Powell gibt zu, gemeinsam mit Overson das illegal arbeitende Datensammelprogramm "Daemon" entwickelt zu haben, will aber den Mord nicht begangen haben. Callen und Sam lassen sich daraufhin in das Softwareunternehmen einschleusen.
