Der Wissenschaftler Daniel Robertson wurde tot aufgefunden. Robertson hat bis zu seinem Tod an einem Projekt gearbeitet, dass sich mit der Erschaffung von künstlicher Intelligenz beschäftigt. Bei der Spurensicherung am Tatort deutet alles darauf hin, dass Robertson von seinem eigenen Supercomputer getötet wurde. Charlie soll nun prüfen, ob das überhaupt möglich ist und macht dabei eine erstaunliche Entdeckung.
