Part three explains how our memory works. When Christian remember things, lots of his nerve cells work together, again, organised in neural networks. Even while he is sleeping, his brain sorts out what he has experienced during the day thus reinforcing his memories. The film clarifies that there are different ways of memory storage in the brain and explains the difference between short- and long-term memory. We also learn that while remembering, the brain can change the interpretation of things that happened in a way that can lead us to "falsified" memories.
