Before slaying and scalping his victim (always a young woman) a spooky serial killer e-mails his intentions to tabloid reporter David Laney. With Laney's help, the OSC lays a trap, and D.C. Rivers witnesses an abduction in progress. Trailing the killer to an abandoned shack, Rivers is joined by Creegan who confronts the psychopath, poised to slit the throat of his next victim.

Though serial killer Emerson is behind bars, his murder spree somehow continues. Is it a copycat killer or an accomplice? Creegan, Taylor, and Rivers must turn to Emerson himself for help, and he names a trivial but bone-chilling price. Unwittingly, Taylor's new love affair with reporter David Laney is lining her up as the next victim.

Lovingly washed, white-shrouded corpses are turning up across Europe, each with a neat hole in the skull. When the homicides hit Britain, the OSC gets the case, and learns the victims all knew each other in Bosnia, where they worked for a relief agency. He also catches a glimpse of the probable killer captured on a security camera. A man everyone thought was dead.

Serial killer Jim Keller has given police the slip and is widening his scope of victims to include anyone who gets in his way. Eager to prove himself after past mistakes, Rivers throws himself into the investigation and into the killer's line of fire.

Annie Jordan kidnaps the child she says was coerced from her in a baby-brokering scheme. Suspecting links to an international pedophile ring, Taylor and Rivers pose as a childless couple in a sting to nab the ringleaders. Meanwhile, Creegan is becoming smitten with Annie.

While tracking an international pedophile ring, Creegan finds his own children targeted in a revenge attack by a distraught father who blames Creegan for his daughter's death. Meanwhile, Taylor goes undercover to a kid-for-sale orphanage in Albania, risking her job when she returns with a little girl. As the drama reaches its climax, Creegan's affair with Annie Jordan comes to a tragic end.

Creegan and Branca investigate a case of horse mutilation and track down a quartet of youngsters addicted to a type of veterinary medication known as K.

A serial killer is released on parole and wastes no time in striking again, leaving the latest victim's father grief-stricken and vengeful, which prompts Creegan to consider the safety of his own family.

DI Creegan finds himself attracted to a woman who is arrested for the abduction of a child she claims was coerced from her in a baby-brokering scheme. As the OSC inquiry finds leads towards a major international paedophile ring, DI Taylor and DC Rivers pose as a childless couple in a sting to nab the ringleaders.

DI Creegan faces a personal crisis when his daughter and ex-wife are threatened by a tormented father who torches their house. Distraught father, Michael Hawkins, blames Creegan for his daughter's death. Meanwhile, DI Taylor goes undercover to a kids-for-sale orphanage in Albania, putting her job on the line when she rescues a child from a hellhole in Albania as the OSC comes closer to catching the paedophiles.
3. Staffel 3 (4 Episoden)
01
Creegan returns from psychiatric sick leave to clear a killer he helped convict. But the local police chief remains convinced the man is guilty-especially since the murder spree resumes after his release. All victims to date are married women with their hearts neatly cut out and left nearby in garbage bags.

Creegan, Taylor, and Rivers step up their pursuit of the ""garbage bag"" killer with the discovery of yet another mutilated female corpse. Creegan concludes the slayer doesn't hate the women he's murdering; he's targeting the men who are left behind. The killer's final mark hits much closer to home.
03
The discovery of a charred body in a derelict institution triggers off a hunt for a serial killer using fire as a weapon of death. Creegan is declared fit to return to work after his harrowing experience in Northumberland, and is reunited with Taylor to investigate the case. Enwright introduces a new recruit to the OSC, while Creegan offers comfort to Rivers' bereaved fiancée.
04
Another charred body is discovered in a nursery school. Matt Van Der Twest, the Hyndman House arsonist, is interviewed, but Creegan and Taylor are convinced he is innocent of the recent murders. Then the chance discovery of a child's drawing brings Creegan closer to the real killer, but not before one last victim is claimed.
