Katana Maidens - Toji No Miko
Katana Maidens: Toji no Miko handelt von Schrein-Mädchen, welche seit der Antike die Welt beschützen, indem sie seltsame Existenzen, sogenannte „Aratama“, mit ihren Schwertern exorzieren. Diese Mädchen nennt man auch „Toji“ und sie dienen als offizielle Einheit der Polizei. Zusätzlich haben sie von der Regierung die Erlaubnis als Regierungsbeamte zu dienen und Schwerter zu tragen. Doch das ist noch nicht alles, denn die Regierung hat extra für diese besonderen Mädchen fünf Schulen im Land errichtet. So können sie neben ihren Pflichten auch ein ganz normales Leben führen, werden aber auch auf ihre eigentlichen Aufgaben vorbereitet, um die Menschen zu beschützen. Jedes Jahr im Frühling wählen die fünf Schulen ihre besten Toji aus und schicken sie zu einem Turnier, wofür die Mädchen hart trainieren, damit sie ihre Schule entsprechend repräsentieren und ihre Fähigkeiten verbessern können.

Kanami and Hiyori are taken in and given a place to stay by a former Minoseki Toji named Onda Rui. The girls are able to slow down and consider their next move. They realize their enemy might be a much greater force than they thought and just as things look bleak, Rui introduces the girls to someone else willing to help them in their struggle.

Ellen and Kaoru once again catch up with Kanami and Hiyori, only this time they say they wish to test them. Upon passing the test, Ellen and Kaoru reveal themselves to be members of a secret organization that is resisting Origami Yukari. However, the girls are suddenly attacked by three of the members of Yukari's elite guard and the secret behind their indomitable strength becomes horrifically apparent.

The girls learn the truth of the Great Disaster of Sagami Bay that occurred 20 years ago from her and Friedman. The truth of that day is vastly different from what the young Toji have been taught in school.

It has been four months since Princess Tagitsu cut off the aradama part of herself and launched it high into the sky causing aradama to rain down all over the Kanto region in what has since been known as the Kamakura Special Hazardous Waste Leakage Problem. As a result, the frequency of aradama appearing in the Kanto region has increased and Kanami and the other girls serve on the front lines working out of the headquarters in Kamakura to try and subdue the aradama.

Upon returning home to her family home in Minoseki, Mai is shocked when her father urges her to quit the Special Religious Military Unit. Mai struggles to make her father understand her willingness to remain a Toji. Meanwhile, when another unit is fighting to take down yet another aradama, a mysterious hooded Toji appears, steals the noro and disappears.

Kaoru is serving as captain of an expedition mission to search for an aradama in the northern Kanto region under the orders of Director Sana. Lacking motivation Kaoru leaves the search for the aradama up to her subordinates and indulges herself in some comforts. Meanwhile, Kanami and the others have been dispatched to deal with the more frequent aradama appearances. Mai and the rest of the team can tell that Kanami is pushing herself too hard.

The gateway to the netherworld continues to expand to the point where it has started to consume the real world. Complete demise creeps ever closer as time passes. After miraculously managing to rescue Hiyori, the girls prepare to face Princess Tagitsu with the hope and fate of the world resting on their shoulders.

On the day of the final battle Kanami and Hiyori disappeared into the depths of the netherworld along with Princess Tagitsu and have not been seen since. Two months have passed and the world has largely returned to normal. With their whereabouts unknown, Kanami and Hiyori wander separately through the netherworld unsure of where they are going or how much time has passed.
