The four couples are introduced and move into The Block. They randomly draw keys to discover their assigned flat. Everyone is shocked to discover the level of devastation in each apartment. After ripping out horrible old carpets to discover hardwood, one couple finds weak boards...and then termites. An ongoing issue with water leaking from an upstairs apartment creates strife.

Upstairs noise becomes a major issue for the downstairs tenants as there is no carpet or insulation to muffle it. All the couples meet for a body corporate (homeowner's association) resulting in a coup.

Termites are discovered throughout! The tenants begin to spy on each other and renovation turns into reconstruction as floorplans begin to change.

Couples work hard to complete their second room for judging. More division between the upstairs and downstairs tenant develops. Poor communication between the tenants results in near electrocution.

No running water for some and judgment for the next room. More intrigue develops between the neighbors as they continue to spy on each other.

The couples rush to finish their third room to win a bonus. Issues arise when one couple plans to relocate their hot water unit.

Emotions run high as all the contestants juggle renovation with their day job responsibilities. They all take a break from the hard work to see Amity launch her singing career at a bar around the corner.

Room four winners are revealed. The front garden and attic spaces are still a point of contention as every dollar must be accounted. Amity's dream of becoming a recording artist move closer to reality.

Work on the final rooms leaps ahead. A couple switches up their floorplan by redoing a room they'd already completed. The couples pull out all the stops.

Judgement on the last room at last. Tempers break and one couple threatens to leave the competition.

This season finale covers auction day and the winners of the real estate challenge.

The original four couples from The Block return as a team to compete against designers from other home improvement shows. The 'Reno'vation Rumble pits the two teams against a one week clock to refurbish identical homes to be given to a local childhood cancer charity.

Despite the need to cooperate to complete the tasks for charity, one team completely unravels while a trip to the pub becomes a point of contention for the other. One team show much better organization than the other. One team fails to deliver the first four rooms on time, even after negotiating an extension.

The teams must deliver their houses complete, including front and back yards. Generous donations from many contributors keep costs so low, that one team actually makes money. Another time extension makes it possible for both teams to finish even though not all team members work the final day. The winners are announced. Families are given the keys to the new homes.

2. Staffel 2 (26 Episoden)

The couples are devastated when they read in the paper that Dani & Monique have left The Block. The competition really hots up as the remaining couples reveal their first rooms and the judges award their first prize. And as tensions reach an all-time high within one of the couples, another contestant is ready to walk out.

The living conditions are getting down and dirty and the couples are racing to do those last minute jobs. They'll do anything to impress the judges as they try to win the biggest prize yet.

The stress of living on The Block is taking its toll on the couples, and the big day is here for Matt and Jane as they return to Melbourne to get married.

Nothing is going to plan. The couples are out of time, they're out of money and they're all going out of their minds to deliver room number four.

It's judgment day for room number four, there will be winners and there will be losers. Some neighbours will come to the rescue, others just aren't playing fair, but everyone is hoping they'll get the edge because they are about to find out what they are playing for.

Downstairs it's a fight for land, upstairs it's a battle of the minds, and in the middle is a war to win cash.

The couples all have a common goal, they're working like a well oiled machine, they're doing it for love and failure is not an option.

Half way through their first challenge and the contestants are faced with all kinds of setbacks. For one team, a burst water pipe causes headaches, and for another, a visit to the emergency department leaves one team one man down.

The 48 hour challenge is over. Neale Whitaker, Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer judge the challenge rooms. And the teams move into the new apartments they will call home for the next 9 weeks.

Five bedrooms and five bathrooms on five levels all being renovated in a week means leaks, delays and stress for the teams. Keith is on the prowl, making sure all the teams build their rooms correctly.

It's day 40 and the teams rally together to help George and Bec progress in their room. The bed heads from Shelley's very first challenge arrive, and foreman Keith finds out that not everyone is playing by the rules.

George and Bec arrive back on The Block. Their absence has widened the gap between the upper and lower floors. As the teams get busy reworking their challenge, trouble brews when everyone has a different interpretation of the rules.

Shelley has another challenge for the Blockheads and this time they are creating beautiful baby nurseries for some very pregnant mothers. Madi does some snooping and dobs in another team for not following the bed head rules.

It's the end of a massive week of renovating when the four teams complete their powder rooms, laundries and cellars. The judges are impressed with all the rooms and when it comes to the scores, there's just half a point difference for three of the teams.

When the team's inspect each others rooms, there is controversy over the cost of Darren and Dea's cellar full of wine. The buyers jury also inspects the completed rooms and when it comes to choosing a winner, they don't agree with judges Neale, Shaynna and Darren.

Midway through living and dining room week, Darren and Deanne are frustrated by the demands of the building inspector when they're told their ceiling is too low. The teams meet Scotty for a challenge where they'll need to bring their very best designer foot forward.

As the week continues, Anastasia is loosing confidence, Jess and Ayden are fighting and getting furniture into the apartments is proving difficult. Charlotte spends her birthday painting late into the night, taking extra care with the paint to try to impress the judges.

The mess in Dea and Darren's dining room is addressed when Shaynna arrives for a mentoring session. Tim and Anastasia plan a loo with a view in their ensuite. The buyers' advocates score the completed rooms and this week they don't agree with the judges.

It's challenge day and the teams head to Coburg where they meet Scotty for a landscaping challenge. They'll have eight hours to transform the front gardens of two properties and the winning team will take home $6,000 cash.

Trouble brews for Dea and Darren when the other teams call for an investigation into the cost of the 440 bottles of wine for their cellar. It's challenge day once again and the teams have the chance to win $5000 cash in a real estate styling challenge.

Construction is in full swing, with balconies being installed at each apartment. Scotty and Shelley arrive to check on progress of everyone's master suite. Ayden and Tim do their own investigation on Dea and Darren's cellar full of wine and ask Shelley for a wine audit.

Four very different master bedrooms and dressing rooms are revealed. One team scores a perfect thirty out of thirty but Scotty has a shocking surprise that changes the game. Dea and Darren's wine audit comes to a head when Scotty plays judge and jury.

The couples are put into two teams on challenge day and compete against each other as they transform two corporate suites at the MCG. At The Block there's problems for Tim and Anastasia. They're not happy with their kitchen and the installation isn't going to plan.

The contestants complete four incredible and very different kitchens, but the judges aren't wowed by the efforts of the Blockheads. Dea and Darren are happy with their kitchen and are surprised and disappointed by feedback. One team takes home $10000.

Another week of renovating begins and the contestants are tired and scared of the enormous job. One team isn't organised and Keith and Dan decide to help out. The buyers advocates judge the completed kitchen and the teams also inspect each others kitchens.

Scotty tries his hand at live talk back radio with the contestants. Tim cooks a lamb on a spit as a treat for everyone on site.

Midway through a difficult week, the contestants meet chef Matt Moran for a chance to win $5000. Its a great opportunity for the teams to showcase their beautiful new kitchens. Darren finds out that two of the teams have been given extra cash for their staircases.

Tonight marks the end of a huge week for The Block contestants when Scotty calls tools down on staircase and study week. In a Block first, one team receives the lowest scores ever given by the judges, who aren't impressed by anyone's efforts this week.

The final week of renovating begins as the teams gear up once again, this time for their outdoor terraces. Dea and Darren get to work finishing rooms in their apartment. Work on the front gardens begins & Tim and Anastasia are struggling with their budget.

Foreboy Dan offers a helping hand to Tim and Anastasia. The common areas of The Block take shape and Jess chooses a sculpture for the space. One contestant starts a rumour about Tim and Anastasia's mounting bills to tradesmen.

If it can go wrong, it will go wrong for one couple on The Block, with budget woes, fighting, the rumour mill in overdrive and confrontation. Scotty is on duty to check on progress and steps in to get to the bottom of Tim and Anastasia's budget issues.

It's the end of the final week of renovating on The Block and the terraces are handed over for judging. One team triumphs with a perfect thirty out of thirty but sadly one team doesn't finish their terrace.

The contestants have seventy two hours to complete their apartments and Scotty brings in a team of tradesmen from Mitre 10 to help get all four apartments completed.

Tonight, after ten weeks of renovating, the teams move out of The Block. Buyers arrive to inspect all the completed apartments and the judges score the completed apartments. There's $45,000 up for grabs.

It's the moment the contestants have all been waiting for. After weeks of hard work their beautiful completed apartments are open for inspection.
