In der ersten Talk-Show auf Netflix begrüßt Komikerin Chelsea Handler prominente Gäste aus allen gesellschaftlichen Bereichen und bespricht mit ihnen aktuelle Themen. In der ersten Staffel gab es jeden Mittwoch, Donnerstag und Freitag eine neue Ausgabe. Seit der zweiten Staffel läuft die Show nur noch einmal wöchentlich. Dabei fokussiert sich Handler nicht nur auf US-amerikanische Angelegenheiten sondern widmet sich im Sinne der weltweiten Ausstrahlung der Sendung auch internationalen Themen, die sie dann humorvoll aufbereitet. Jede Folge der Show dauert 30 Minuten und wird vor Live-Publikum aufgezeichnet. Als Besonderheit gegenüber ähnlichen Shows hat jede Ausgabe der Sendung einen speziellen, auf Inhalt und Gäste ausgerichteten Titel.
