Als Vater von zwölf Kindern weiß Dog nur zu gut, wie schwer es ist, den Nachwuchs auf dem rechten Weg zu halten, besonders in der turbulenten Teenagerzeit. Als ihm seine Haushälterin Darlene erzählt, dass ihre 15-jährige Enkelin Shaiann verschwunden ist, tritt das Team sofort in Aktion. Der Fall ist zunächst rätselhaft, denn Shaiann ist eine Musterschülerin, die noch nie Schwierigkeiten gemacht hat. Anscheinend ist jedoch ein Junge im Spiel. Da es sich um ein junges Mädchen und nicht um eine flüchtige Kriminelle handelt, findet Dog, dass weibliches Feingefühl gefragt ist, und überträgt Beth die Leitung. Als Teenagerin hat sie ihren Eltern selbst genug Sorgen bereitet, als sie tagelang verschwand. Als Kautionsagentin kennt sie zudem all die Gefahren, die für junge Mädchen auf der Straße lauern.
