Inhaltsbeschreibung
In Dollhouse geht es um eine geheime Organisation, die Menschen mit einer neuen Persönlichkeit ausstatten kann. Sie löschen die Erinnerungen und setzen den Menschen ein neues Gedächtnis ein, um sie für ihre Aufträge einsetzen zu können. Auch Echo gehört zu den manipulierten Personen. Sie ist eine sogenannte Aktive, die sich angeblich freiwillig für dieses Projekt gemeldet und dafür 5 Jahre ihres eigenen Lebens aufgegeben hat. Für ihren Mut und ihren Einsatz innerhalb der Organisation soll sie am Ende ihrer Zeit im Dollhouse eine große Summe an Geld bekommen. Während Echo sich mit diesen Aufträgen beschäftigt, versucht der FBI Agent Paul Ballard mehr über das Dollhouse heraus zu bekommen. Er sieht sich die Aufträge näher an und versucht das Schema, das sich dahinter befindet aufzudecken. Der FBI Agent will unbedingt die Wahrheit über diese Organisation heraus finden und zerstört durch seine Besessenheit sogar seine Ehe und seine Karriere. Doch auch diese bitterlichen Ereignisse können Paul nicht aufhalten die Wahrheit über das Dollhouse aufzudecken.

Through different personality downloads, she plays the role of a lovestruck girl on a romantic weekend, and then a ruthlessly efficient kidnapping negotiator. FBI Agent Paul Ballard is struggling with his assignment to uncover information on the Dollhouse.

Echo becomes the female counterpart to an outdoorsman; Agent Ballard is encouraged when he receives a clue to Echo's true identity.

"Vows" is the premiere of the second season of the American science fiction television series Dollhouse and the show's 14th episode overall. The episode was written and directed by series creator and executive producer Joss Whedon, and aired in the United States on Fox on September 25, 2009. "Vows" follows the first season finale, "Omega", and takes place several months after the events of that episode. Therefore, it is set in the present as opposed to the unaired thirteenth episode, "Epitaph One".
In the episode, Echo is sent on an engagement as a young woman who marries an elusive international arms dealer, played by Jamie Bamber, and Ballard is offered a position as Echo's new handler. Dr. Saunders struggles with the revelation that she is a Doll and gets some surprising revelations from Topher. A U.S. Senator starts an investigation into the Rossum Corporation. The episode was met with mostly positive reviews.

Episode 2
Echo is imprinted with the personality of a mother with a newborn baby. Complications arise when, thanks to Topher's programming, Echo takes too strongly to motherhood. Perrin ramps up his investigation into Rossum and DeWitt pays November a visit.

Echo and Victor’s imprints collide when Echo is sent on an assignment as a fun-loving, seductive college student and Victor is imprinted as the psychotic nephew of a Dollhouse shareholder.

After her entanglements with Senator Perrin and the DC Dollhouse, Echo finds herself out in the world-at-large as she struggles to control her multiple memory downloads. Topher discovers the dangers of science that will have devastating effects on the future, while Adelle engages in a power struggle with Harding.

When Echo's past romantic engagements are found murdered, the Dollhouse fears that Alpha has returned to seek his revenge. Adelle grows suspicious of Ballard who hopes to find allies in Boyd and Topher. The Actives turn against their handlers, leaving one member of the house permanently mind-wiped.

As his contract with the Dollhouse expires, Victor is released back into the world, where his military past threatens his future with Sierra. Meanwhile, Echo is deemed too dangerous and is sent into her worst nightmare.

When Adelle, Boyd, and the rest of the Dollhouse fear that Echo's uncontrollable mind imprints are making her a danger to their goals, they send her to "the Attic" where Echo is forced to face her worst nightmare in order to survive.
