Rutledge finds out if Aston Martin has solved a horsepower problem in the new Vantage model and Adam and Rutledge try to beat professional drift champion Tanner Foust in a drifting competition by cheating. Actor Dominic Monahan takes to the Top Gear test track.

After arriving in North Carolina to purchase vehicles for $1,000, Adam, Rutledge and Tanner rigorously test them in extreme challenges involving moonshine-running. Ty Burrell of ABC's "Modern Family" comedy series enters the test track.

The hosts have each been asked to choose what they think is the perfect high-end convertible by an anonymous celebrity buyer. On the way to meet them, they put the cars through a series of challenges which hint at the celebrity's identity.

Limousines have become more about bachelorette parties than star-studded premieres, so Adam, Rutledge and Tanner decide it's time to get some of the glamour back by building their own. To find out which is best, each of them has to transport a celebrity to the Primetime Emmy Awards.

We find out what goes on in Rut's head as he takes control of the show and gets to do whatever he wants. In the process he enters a championship race and almost kills himself, becomes an inventor and almost kills Adam, and tries it out as a designated driver on the late night streets of San Francisco and almost kills them both.

The hosts buy each other what they think is the worst car in the country and set themselves a challenge--whoever can make the car they've been given coolest and sell for most money at an auction at the end of the journey wins. It's the battle of the big 3 as the guys compete over which is the best new police car to replace the Crown Vic, in a series of madcap challenges around Detroit, Michigan. The winner gets to race the fastest Police Car in the country -- the Corvette ZO6 -- in an action film style chase through the Long Beach docks as he tries to catch a "perp" riding the ultimate escape vehicle.

Small cars work in the rest of the world but will they ever work here? The guys try to answer the question and travel to Louisiana to take them out of their natural home on the narrow city streets of New Orleans and deep into Cajun Country where they have to hunt and survive alongside the locals. Whoever did the worst in their car suffers the humiliation of having to drive the world's smallest car for a day in their home town.

Could you own a classic car and not know it? The guys each get a car that they think is seriously undervalued and set out to rehabilitate its image before creating a live commercial in San Diego and attempting to make money on it. The two losers have to entertain two celebrities in a crazy race in equally crazy vehicles, and it gets out of control fast.

How far can you get on one tank of gas? The guys find out as they race from Portland, Oregon to San Francisco without being able to fill up. Whoever makes it closest gets the chance to drive the toughest off road machine in the world in a high-octane race in the remote Colorado mountains.

Episode 5
The guys head to rural California and attempt to help a farmer in one of the biggest tractors on the market. It quickly descends into chaos as they try to transport livestock and heavy equipment and complete farm chores. We then review the fastest 'tractor' of them all – the new Lamborghini Aventador – and see how its claims stack up in a race against a crop dusting plane.

Do you really need an expensive 4x4 to go off road? The guys don't think so and to prove their point use 3 classic rental cars and attempt to complete an epic journey on some of the toughest terrain in the country from Monument Valley to Moab.

The guys find the same model cars they drove in college and then head south of the border on an epic spring break road trip through Mexico to determine whose ride is the best college car. They tackle the tough streets of Tijuana and the treacherous mountain trails of the Baja Peninsula on their journey to reach the party town of San Felipe on the Sea of Cortez. Comedian Adam Ferrara, champion race car driver Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood host.

What's America's toughest, most un-killable car? Adam, Tanner and Rutledge each pick the toughest car they can think of and put them through a series of brutal tests using shotguns, bombs and a giant crane. The winner gets to go head-to-head against the U.S. military in one of the toughest SUV's on the planet.

RVs are roomy and comfortable, but they're terrible to drive. So to solve this issue, Adam, Tanner and Rutledge design their own RV that has to be not only comfortable but also fun to drive, and take them on a southern road trip. Along the way they compete in a series of wild challenges, culminating at the famous infield of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Getting to 150 mph used to be the preserve of supercars. These days you can reach that speed in a new 30,000 dollar car, but what's the least you can spend and still reach this epic speed? The guys find out as they spend as little as possible on three used cars, put them through their paces and then head out to the famous El Mirage dry lakebed to attempt to reach 150. The winner gets to review the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse--the fastest and most expensive production car in the world.

Being a taxi driver always ranks among the most challenging jobs in the country, so the guys head to Las Vegas on a quest to create the ultimate taxi, aiming to keep both driver and passengers happy. After getting some experience riding along with real cabbies, they reveal their creations, put them through a series of tests and then hit the Vegas strip to see who can get the most tips. Then we review the newest supercar to come out of the UK--the McLaren MP4-12C, and see how it stacks up against a good old American NASCAR Cup car.

We find out what goes on in Adam's head as he takes control of the show and gets to do whatever he wants. First he tries to teach Tanner and Rut how to play football--with an automotive twist. Then he reveals his own concept car designed to protect you against the worst things on the road--other drivers. Finally, he gets behind the wheel of the legendary Ford GT40 and puts a bizarre twist on the classic Le Mans race where Ford beat Ferrari, with an unsuspecting Rutledge at the wheel of the Ferrari.

The guys attempt to build the perfect car for the apocalypse--affordable, fun to drive, and still zombie-proof. After testing its performance, weaponry, and defenses, they have to race across a ghost town with the Post-Apocalypse Stig in hot pursuit.

The guys choose their favorite SUV's and meet up on California's Pismo Beach to start an epic journey and put their vehicles through a series of challenges.

Getting your car ready for winter can cost a lot of cash and the brutal weather can cause serious wear and tear. So the Top Gear hosts set out to solve this issue by finding three cars that cost less than it costs to prepare your car for the snow and ice and put them through a series of tough challenges to find out which is the best winter car.

The hosts head to Iceland - home of some of the toughest winter off-roading on the planet - to try and prove to the locals that American trucks still have what it takes to conquer the world. Their challenge is to drive their trucks over mountains, across frozen rivers and through 30 foot deep snowdrifts to the virgin land at the top of an active volcano.

Along the way, they complete a series of challenges to determine the winner of the race. Adam drives the new SRT Viper, Rut the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Stradale and Tanner, the Maclaren MP4-12C Spyder.

5. Staffel 5 (10 Episoden)

Während in diesem Winter ein massiver Sturm die schlecht ausgerüsteten Gebiete Amerikas zerstört, entscheiden Tanner, Adam und Rutledge ihrer bürgerlichen Pflicht nachzugehen und entwickeln deswegen einen gemeinnützigen Mischling ganz besonderer Art, der die Einwohner der Stadt bei ihren Aufräumarbeiten unterstützen soll: ein Schulbus mit Schneepflug! Als Belohnung darf derjenige mit der innovativsten Idee, einen Nissan GTR im Rennen gegen einen Motorschlitten fahren.

Tanner, Adam und Rutledge entscheiden sich direkt für zwei der gefährlichsten Jobs in Amerika: Die drei Jungs bekommen Schlüssel für Langholztransporter und die Anweisung, so viele Holzstämme wie möglich aufzuladen und an einen abgelegenen Ort in Washington zu verfrachten.

Als Belohnung darf der Gewinner eine Probefahrt im brandneuen, 300.000 Dollar teuren Rolls Royce Wraith machen.

Tanner, Rutledge und Adam reisen für den ultimativen Hochgeschwindigkeits-Road-Trip nach Deutschland. Dort angekommen, brettern die Jungs über die legendären Autobahnen ohne jegliche Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen und versuchen Geschwindigkeitsrekorde auf dem weltberühmten Nürburgring aufzustellen.

Tanner, Adam und Rutledge beschließen genau das herauszufinden und wählen jeweils einen tüchtigen Alltagswagen, den sie in waghalsigen Rennen unter Beschuss nehmen.

Der Appalachian Trail umfasst rund 3500km auf seinem Weg von Maine nach Georgia und verlangt mindestens drei bis sechs Monate um ihn komplett abzuwandern. They take on America's most notorious 4x4 route in a race against time to photo map the entire trail before they must present their images at Google headquarters.

Tanner, Adam, and Rutledge tackle automotive stereotypes by taking on the age old question: which country makes the best car? The guys battle it out in cars from past and present manufactured in the countries of their ancestors: Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom; and go head to head against one of America's most badass, track prepped speed demons.
