Detective Geum Myung Se (Cha Tae Hyun) steht vor immer mehr Fällen mit Tätern, die psychische Störungen haben. Betrunken erzählt er einer Journalistenfreundin, dass die berühmte Neurowissenschaftlerin Shin Ha Ru (Jung Yong Hwa) das Gehirn eines Verbrechers gestohlen habe – was Ha Rus Entlassung aus dem Labor zur Folge hat. Arbeitslos wird Ha Ru Polizeiberaterin, will aber eigentlich nur Myung Se loswerden. Zusammen mit Hypnose-Expertin Seol So Jung (Kwak Sun Young) und Myung Ses Ex-Frau Kim Mo Ran (Ye Ji Won) bilden sie ein ungewöhnliches Team für seltsame Hirnfälle. Reißen sich Myung Se und Ha Ru gegenseitig mit runter, oder wachsen sie gemeinsam über sich hinaus?

A Vietnamese woman is found dead with her face and hands burnt. Her husband suffers prosopagnosia; her best friend has disappeared. Both are suspects.

New evidence and test results drastically change the face of the case. A killer approaches Ha-ru, saying he wants to donate his brain to neuroscience.

Ha-ru helps prove I-na's innocence. As he and Myeong-se's family bond, Ha-ru finally discovers Myeong-se’s flaw, leading to his untimely resignation.

Ha-ru learns that his parents weren't killed in a car accident but murdered. To find their killer, Ha-ru must accept a psychopath's dangerous offer.
