Tess is disconcerted to learn Stevie can 'read' her so well whilst playing poker. Stevie explains the theory of 'tells' – signs that give away what a person is really thinking. Stevie finds herself set up as prime suspect for 'borrowing' Sandra's bull, Crusher, after agreeing to transport him for Sandra and settle the outstanding debt between them. When Crusher turns up in a Drovers paddock, apparently ready to service cows on heat, the finger of suspicion is immediately pointed at Stevie. Tess, unaware of Stevie's 'deal' with Sandra and knowing Stevie's history of 'borrowing' other people's possessions, reluctantly thinks the worst. Hoping to avoid police involvement, she agrees to sign over half the calves resulting from the serviced cattle to Sandra. Outraged, Stevie does her own sleuthing on Sandra's property and learns Crusher broke his penis several days ago. There's no way he could have sired any offspring and she and Tess realise they've been had.

Luke gambles his and Jodi's holiday money in a bet on the drag race and when he is injured, she is forced to drive in his place. Will Meg's worries be justified?

Kate tries to convince Stevie to reinstate Jodi, whom she fired the previous week. Stevie won't budge unless Jodi admits she's wrong, and Jodi won't return unless Stevie asks her. Nick learns what it's like to be a single father, juggling bottles, nappies, baby, and work. With some loving advice from Tess, he accepts the chaos and learns to enjoy time with his son.

Kahlfraß
Meg heeft moeite met haar werk. Ze wil een nieuw verhaal schrijven maar heeft te weinig inspiratie. Samen met Terry wil ze hun oude droom weer oppakken om samen een huis te bouwen, maar Terry merkt al snel dat Meg dit eigenlijk helemaal niet wil. Ze gaan op zoek naar iets waar ze samen voor kunnen gaan. Meg vindt hierbij een doos met kaarten van Terry. Hij had ze bewaard omdat ze hem aan zijn reizende vader doen denken en hij zou altijd nog wel in zijn vaders voetsporen willen treden. Meg en Terry besluiten dat dit is wat ze nodig hebben en dat ze samen op reis gaan.
Ondertussen is Jodi druk in de weer om de perfecte bruiloft voor haar moeder te organiseren.
Patrick wordt tijdelijk blind en moet leren op Kate te vertrouwen.
Stevie helpt Fiona bij het uitzoeken van een nieuw paard.

Bittere Pillen
De meiden van Drovers Run zijn geschokt wanneer Regan opeens voor hun deur staat met de vraag of ze Tess kan spreken. Wanneer deze er achterkomt dat Tess nu in Argentinië woont is het haar beurt om geschokt te zijn. Jodi probeert er achter te komen wat er met haar aan de hand is, maar Regan verdwijnt weer net zo snel als ze gekomen is. Jodi komt haar echter weer tegen en overtuigt haar dat ze de nacht op Drovers door mag brengen. Regan verteld dat ze betrokken is geraakt bij een mijnongeluk waarbij twee mannen zijn omgekomen. Jodi vraagt haar, met toestemming van Kate en Stevie, nog een tijdje op Drovers te blijven.
Wanneer Charlotte op bezoek komt is het duidelijk dat Fiona en Alex het over één ding eens zijn; ze willen kinderen en wel zo snel mogelijk. Maar Fiona’s dromen vallen in duigen wanneer ze, na een ongeluk, in het ziekenhuis te horen krijgt dat ze geen kinderen kan krijgen. Bang dat Alex hierdoor niet meer met haar wil trouwen, besluit ze deze informatie voor hem verborgen te houden.
Stevie dwingt Jodi haar verantwoordelijkheden onder ogen te zien.
Wanneer Dave er achter komt dat Patrick van plan is weer te vertrekken doet hij er van alles aan om hem op andere gedachten te brengen.

When Alex asks Stevie to be his best man, Stevie inadvertently ends up as Fiona's bridesmaid instead. Meanwhile, Kate and Moira find common ground when they team up for a radio trivia quiz; Harry receives another death threat; Regan tries to atone for her past.

Jodi thinks she has killed Harry Ryan in a car accident and is facing a charge of manslaughter. Meanwhile, a Japanese trade delegation visits Drovers and Stevie helps the delegate's wife reconcile with her husband; Alex attempts to come to terms with his grief but Fiona is hurt when he turns to Stevie instead.

Ondertussen ontloopt Stevie Alex, maar nadat ze met Jodi gepraat heeft besluit ze dat ze haar geheim toch met hem moet delen; ze had een grote ruzie met Harry op de dag van het ongeluk en is bang dat dit de oorzaak van zijn hartaanval was.
Jodi probeert te helpen bij de problemen tussen Kate en Regan. Deze worden echter al vanzelf opgelost wanneer Kate en Regan op zoek gaan naar de oorzaak van de loodvergiftiging van het vee, waarbij ze een ongeluk krijgen en Regan Kate redt. Kate krijgt hierdoor nieuw respect voor Regan.

Kevin Fountain returns to Drovers wanting to include his daughter Jodi back into his life, but Jodi soon learns it may only be her money he wants. Meanwhile, the girls race against the clock to shear 500 sheep before morning; Fiona's mother visits Killarney and Fiona feels more threatened by Alex spending time with the Drovers women.

The day before the big wedding has arrived and Stevie makes a shocking discovery - Fiona has been lying to Alex about being pregnant. Meanwhile, Kate and Jodi also have a secret of their own involving Fiona's wedding dress; Kate agrees to go with Patrick to the wedding but wonders if he's not the man for her; Dave asks Regan to help him learn to dance.
