Trotz einer angesehenen Laufbahn an einem Elitekrankenhaus kündigt der Chirurg Bu Yong Ju (Han Suk Kyu), zieht in eine Kleinstadt, schließt sich dem Doldam Hospital an und nennt sich fortan „Teacher Kim“. Dort fördert er zwei ehrgeizige, aber fehlerhafte Jungärzte: Yoon Seo Jung (Seo Hyun Jin), die von einem tragischen Fehler verfolgt wird, und Kang Dong Joo (Yoo Yeon Seok), dessen Leben eine frühe Begegnung mit Teacher Kim prägte. Lehrer Kim träumte davon, mit seinen Schülern und Kollegen ein regionales Traumazentrum aufzubauen. Endlich wurde ein solches Zentrum im Doldam-Krankenhaus errichtet. Ein perfektes Traumazentrum mit moderner Ausstattung und sauberer Fassade, doch es konnte nicht richtig eröffnet werden. Das regionale Traumazentrum steht vor einer ungewissen Zukunft... Wird Lehrer Kim seinen lang gehegten Wunsch erfüllen und das regionale Traumazentrum im Doldam-Krankenhaus etablieren können?
