Oberschüler Mitsuyoshi Tada will nach dem Vorbild seines Vaters später einmal Fotograf werden und war gerade damit beschäftigt, Kirschbäume in voller Blüte zu fotografieren, als er der aus Larsenburg stammenden Teresa Wagner begegnet. Da diese ihre Gruppe verloren hat, nimmt Mitsuyoshi sie mit ins Café seines Großvaters. Doch es bleibt nicht bei dieser einmaligen Begegnung und so wechselt Teresa als Austauschschülerin in Mitsuyoshis Klasse. Gemeinsam mit der auch aus Larsenburg kommenden Alexandra Magritte tritt Teresa Mitsuyoshis Fotografieclub bei und die beiden verbringen fortan viel Zeit miteinander, aber schon bald wird Mitsuyoshi feststellen, dass Teresa keine gewöhnliche Austauschschülerin ist.
