Inhaltsbeschreibung

Max, Rex und Zoe sind, ebenso wie Max' Vater, der Paläontologe Dr. Taylor, Mitglieder des so genannten D-Teams. Auf einer Forschungsreise entdecken sie magische Steine und Dinosaurier-Karten und stellen fest, dass sie die Urzeitmonster damit zum Leben erwecken können. Mit Hilfe eines Gerätes, das die Gedanken der Dinos hörbar machen kann, erfahren sie, dass die Urgiganten in großer Gefahr schweben: Die böse Alpha-Gang sammelt die weltweit verstreuten Dinosaurier-Karten ein, um mit den Dinos Arenakämpfe zu veranstalten und somit viel Geld zu verdienen. Dr. Z. ist der Anführer der Alpha-Gang, dessen Team aus den Erwachsenen Ursula, Ed und Zander sowie dem Einzelgänger Seth besteht. Dieser arbeitet lieber alleine als mit seinen etwas dümmlichen Teamkameraden. Außerdem wird Dr. Z von seinem Neffen Rod und seiner Nichte Laura unterstützt. Die beiden Kids sind äußerst clever und eine große Hilfe für die Alpha-Gang. Aber obwohl die Schurken in der Überzahl sind, schafft es das D-Team immer wieder, ihre Pläne zu verhindern.

Die Rückkehr der Dinosaurier

Investigating a meteorite crash near their homes, youthful dinosaur enthusiasts Max, Rex, and Zoe stumble upon an unexpected chance to put their paleontology skills to the test. Near the crash site they discover three palm-sized tablets, and a set of cards depicting a Triceratops. As Max toys with these new discoveries, he somehow summons the Triceratops from the card into life. As excited as the children are to study a real, live dinosaur, they soon have greater concerns: a band of villains has tracked the cards to their location and is intent on turning them to their own evil ends.

Im Land der Pyramiden

The D-Kids learn of additional dinosaur cards, this time bearing the symbols on Rex and Zoe's tablets. Anxious to gain dinosaur partners of their own, Rex and Zoe send for the cards as quickly as possible, but scarcely have time to get acquainted with their new dinosaur pals before yet another mysterious dinosaur appearance calls them to Egypt. As if pursuing a marauding T-Rex through the streets of Giza weren't enough of a challenge, the children soon find that they aren't the only ones giving chase.

Max's father embarks on a scholarly visit to a London museum where history comes to life-literally. The D-Team receives urgent news that Team Alpha has already infiltrated the museum, where a real-life Saichania roams free. Max, Rex, and Zoe find they still have much to learn from their dinosaur partners as they face their cunning enemies in a full-blown dinosaur battle, with Saichania's fate hanging in the balance.

The D-Team sets out to the Amazon rainforest to investigate reports of a sudden Saltosaurus appearance. Max is soon separated from his team, however, when his Dino-partner, Chomp, wanders off into the jungle. As Rex and Zoe close in on their latest dinosaur discovery-and an imminent confrontation with the Alpha Gang-can Max find his Triceratops in time to give them the backup they need?

Im Reich der Mitte

Called to China for a new dinosaur appearance, the D-Team members are still bickering about Rex's prized ammonite having been broken at their previous dig. But when the Dinosaur's Fire Move misses Terry and hits the entrance to the Great Wall of China, burying Zoe under all of the leftover rubble, Max and Rex must learn how to work together to rescue her.

Alpenglück

Max and Rex try to catch a Maiasaura when it is discovered in the Swiss Alps in Switzerland, but the dinosaur is very protective of its egg. This reminds the boys of how they ran away from Zoe, who makes sure everything in Max's house is orderly while his mother is out of town.

The D-Team and Alpha Gang are invited to play in a Japanese game show. However, as they are competing, a Utahraptor appears.

Zoe borrows Reece's favorite scarf to accesorize Paris, but Paris rips the scarf into tatters because it itches her. She takes Max and Rex with her to the mall to get Reece a new scarf before she finds out what happened to it. Little do they know that Dr. Z sent Ursula, Zander, and Ed out to get an album filled with rare and valuable Dinosaur Cards.
