Der kleine glatzköpfige Caillou ist mit seinen vier Jahre sehr neugierig und will alles über die Welt wissen. Jeden Tag erlebt er ein neues Abenteuer mit seinen Freunden Kater Gilbert, Teddy, dem Bär und Rex, dem Dinosaurier. Seine Eltern stehen ihm bei all seinen Erlebnissen immer mit Rat zur Seite.

Caillou is drumming and singing badly. Mom tells Caillou to quiet down so Rosie can take a nap, but he doesn't want to at first. Eventually he stops and heads off to the kitchen to get some cookies. They're hard to reach though, so he tries to use a stool and ends up spilling the cookies as well as a jar of honey. He tries to make honey cookies, but ends up making a mess. Mom comes in and decides that rather than get upset about it, she'll just have Caillou help her clean up. He does and then he and Mom make cookies together. Sometime at the park, apparently later that day, Caillou and Mom share the cookies with Dad and Rosie. Then Caillou runs off and starts covering himself with mud. Dad asks him what he's making and he answers "a big mess."

Caillou is afraid of Mr. Hinkle, and when Mr. Hinkle waved to Caillou, Caillou panicked and ran. That made Mr. Hinkle really sad, so he goes over and apologizes. Caillou's Mom couldn't get Caillou to go downstairs, so they engage Caillou in a game of "Hide and Seek". In the end, Caillou is no longer afraid of Mr. Hinkle. As a matter of fact, Caillou decides that he likes Mr. Hinkle after all.

Caillou doesn't want to eat vegetables - he wants cookies instead. Then his grandpa comes over, and they go out for a walk. Along the way, his grandpa shows him various animals and their food. Cut back to the house. They're home, and they're as hungry as bears - because they are pretending to be bears. Caillou eats his vegetables, and he's allowed to have some cookies.

Caillou wants to play, but everybody's too busy to play with him. Caillou's Mom has to do the taxes, Caillou's Dad is repairing the washing machine, and Caillou's grandma is tucking Rosie in for her nap. Even Gilbert doesn't seem to want to play. Caillou then goes back into his room and plays with his plush toys.

Caillou's hiding in a pile of plush toys when his mom comes in and calls him to eat chocolate pudding. Now, if it's one thing Caillou really likes, it's chocolate pudding, so he comes out of hiding. On his way downstairs, he's made to tidy up the mess on the stairs. Then, just as he's about to eat the pudding, he's called outside to tidy up the mess he's made on the porch. And then, just as he's back at the table, he's called into the bathroom to tidy up another mess. Finally, he has his chocolate pudding. Caillou's Dad suggests that he do something about all his old toys. Caillou decides to give some to Rosie, and his Dad suggests that they make a toy chest after eating. Scene cuts to when the chest is finished. We see the lid close, and a picture of Caillou's face is on the lid.

Caillou pretends to be a race car driver, not realizing the trouble he's causing.

It's Caillou's first day at daycare, and he's whining because he doesn't want to go - He wants to be at Grandma's instead. We meet with Mrs. Martin, Caillou's teacher. Caillou's mom then leaves. Mrs. Martin gives Caillou some juice. Caillou then tries to befriend Leo, but Leo was rude to him. Enters Clementine. She introduces herself to Caillou, and explains to Caillou that Leo ""doesn't like to share"". She shows Caillou what she has been doing: cutouts. She then asks Caillou why does he prefers his grandparents' place. He tells her that he likes painting. She explains to him that they can do that at daycare, too. She brings out some paints, brushes and paper. Caillou paints a robin as Clementine cuts out some paper worms. Leo walks by, and notices Caillou's painting of a robin. He wants Caillou to teach him how to paint. Caillou aggrees, on the condition that Leo teach Clementine and him how to build castles with blocks. And so, we see Leo paint a (distorted) robin while Caillou and Cl

Caillou dreams that he's a lion tamer and Gilbert is a lion. He then wakes up. He remembers that he is to go to the circus today. He quickly gets dressed. Caillou's dad then comes by the toilet and asks him why he's up so early. Caillou explains that he can't wait to go to the circus. Caillou's dad corrects him - the circus is tomorrow, not today. Naturally, Caillou throws a tantrum. Later, during breakfast, Caillou's dad accidentally grabs hold of burnt toast and starts juggling them. It's then that Caillou gets the idea of playing circus. So they do. Then, Caillou's mom comes downstairs. Caillou's dad asks her if she wants to play the lady that rides the horse. She replies that she'd rather go back to bed. The end.

Caillou complains to his grandma that he has no friends. Caillou's grandma then asks him about Leo and Clementine. Caillou admits that Leo and Clmentine are his friends. Then she reminds Caillou that Rosie may be his sister, but she's his friend, too. And so is Gilbert and Mr. Hinkle. And lastly, so is his Mother and Father and even her - Grandma. The end.

Caillou gets an ear infection and is scared about what might happen.

Caillou meets his baby sister, Rosie. He either likes Rosie or doesn't like Rosie.

Caillou wants to make a snowman, but Caillou's mom wants to take him shopping for ingredients to make a special surprise cake. At the store, Caillou sees a box of cookies, but his mom asks him to put them back. So he does, and they head to the checkout line. However, while waiting at the counter, Caillou suddenly thought of the cookies, and tries to find his way back to the cookies, only to get lost. He breaks down and cries, and it isn't long before his mom finds him. Back home, it turns out that the cake is a snowman cake. The end.

Caillou's reluctant to take a bath at first, fearing such "possibilities" as falling down the drain. He is able to get into the tub, though. In there, he creates quite a mess with the water.

Caillou carries a large stack of clothing into the laundry room where his mom is doing the laundry. He decides to have a little fun and plays dress-up with his dad's clothes. His mom thinks it's funny, so she takes a picture of him together with his dad.

Caillou was playing alone. In walks Rosie. Caillou ignores her, until he notices that she's wearing his favourite Teddy shirt. He throws up a fuss. After a little reasoning with his mom, his mom promised to give Rosie her ""mousie"" shirt, and Caillou gets his shirt back. He puts it on. It doesn't fit him too well (think Britney Spears ;) ). After a while, it starts to itch. He tries using tape to stick the shirt down. No dice. His mom then shows him a pix of him with his shirt, and reasons with him that he's outgrown it. But he's still reluctant to give the shirt to Rosie. Ends up giving shirt to Teddy. The end.

Caillou goes round the block, plays in the sprinklers, plays hopscotch, holds a ladybug and nearly gets lost, but manages to get home with the help of a neighbour.

Caillou is hiding in the cabinet. Whoops! He's stuck. His grandpa helps him out. Then his grandpa shows him a cool hiding place in a tree. Grandpa is too big to fit in, but Caillou is just right. Caillou loves this hiding place and plays with his dinosaurs in it. This is the best hiding place ever.

It's Caillou's birthday, and he's hoping for a particular special dinosaur. His grandma gives him a present. He opens it. It's a t-shirt with a picture of the special dinosaur on it, but no special dinosaur. Caillou's upset by it. The guests arrive, and so the play some games. Then it's time to blow out the candles on the cake. Caillou holds his breath as he makes his wish, then he blows the candles out. Then he has the cake. Caillou's mom then gives him another box. It's the special dinosaur!. Later, Rosie spills ice cream on Caillou's clothes. Caillou then puts on the special dinosaur T-Shirt that grandma gave him.

When Caillou's parents are busy working on the walls and Rosie is sleeping, he decides to play with Gilbert. But Gilbert has a totally different idea of games. Caillou's parents explain this to him, and they are surprised to see two "cats" playing together nicely.

Caillou's parents are going out, and Grandma's coming over to babysit. Later, it's naptime, and he dozes off. Until Glibert comes and wakes him up. Then he has trouble going back to sleep because it's too bright. Grandma comes up with an idea - a cardboard cutout of the night sky, and Caillou eventually falls asleep.

Caillou is playing in the sandbox at the park when he hears a dog bark quite loudly. Frightened by the loud noise, he develops a fear of dogs. His grandma helps him to see that maybe they aren't so bad.

Caillou visits the zoo, sees a rhino and her young, a group of chimps of which one looks like Caillou's grandpa and another looks like Caillou, and a sea otter who's being taught to swim because it lost it's mother. The end.

When Caillou sees it's raining, all he wants to do is jump in puddles.

Caillou's family visit the beach and Caillou has fun paddling and building sandcastles.

Caillou goes shopping for some new shoes.

Caillou makes a snowman.

Caillou is really excited about going to a parade, but his mom doesn't think it's a good idea because there will be clowns and Rosie is scared of them. So now Caillou and his mom try to show Rosie that clowns are funny, not scary.

Caillou has a special friend named George. He's special because only Caillou could see him. Caillou suddenly wants to have a race. On winning the race, Caillou knocks over a flower pot. While thinking it over, Caillou decides that it was George's fault that the flower pot broke. Later, while eating, Caillou talks about George some more, and says that George lives in the basement. But he comments that George is his favourite friend in the whole world. But because he spent too much time talking about George, he hardly ate his lunch. Later, Caillou's asked about the broken flower pot. He claims that George did this. But Caillou's dad knows better - George is to Caillou what Nadine is to D.W. in Arthur. So, he manages to talk Caillou into admitting that he also had something to do with it. He also talks Caillou into helping him clean up. Later, Caillou talks about George some more while playing on the swing with his dad. The end.

Caillou and Rosie are playing in the leaves. His parents join in. Soon, Caillou's mom has to go in and make supper. But Caillou decides that he wants to help his dad rake the leaves. While doing so, he imagined that the leaf piles were big houses. Soon, it's getting dark, and the leaves are raked. They head indoors, and Caillou that he has a leaf on his head. The end.

Show opens with Caillou's mom introducing him to Andre. Andre's really tall. Andre's six years old, and apparently isn't aware of the dangers of playing outdoor games indoor. Andre then wants to play ball in the house. Caillou tells him that they're not allowed to. He plays anyway and knocks over Caillou's castle. So they play hide and seek insteaad. Andre is the seeker. So Caillou hides. But gave his location off when Andre passed by and Caillou couldn't resist tickling Anfre's foot. They decide to play something else again. Caillou goes upstairs to get his toy robot. But while waiting, Andre sat on Caillou's favourite chair. The chair gave in, and Andre got hurt because of that. Caillou came back and was really upset that Andre broke his chair, but decided to forgive him when he realized that Andre was hurt as well. They decide to go play soccer outside. But Caillou's soccer ball is stuck in a tree. Not a problem for Andre, though. He's tall enough to reach for the ball. And so, Cail

Caillou's at Grandma's and he's in a bad mood. He doesn't feel there's anything to do. Caillou insists anyway that he's not grumpy and not hungry either and doesn't want apple pie. Caillou decides to fingerpaint using Grandma's paints. Then, Grandma convinces him to have some pie, but only after getting cleaned up. Then his Mom comes to pick him up. Grandma tells him he can come back if he's ever grumpy again.

Caillou's grandma gets only junk mail in her mailbox, so Caillou decides to write a letter to her to make her feel better. When she sees the letter, she's in for a surprise.

Caillou's grandpa is over at Caillou's place. They're playing about when Caillou's grandpa reminices about the time he went camping with Caillou's dad a long time ago. Caillou wants to go camping, too. So they do. They set up a tent and go nature hiking around the garden. At night, they have marshmallows and look at the stars. Then it was time to sleep. But it was too noisy. Grandpa has a solution, though. The next thing we know, we see Caillou's mom calling them up for breakfast. And the tent's in the living room. Turns out that the night noises frightened Caillou. So they moved everything indoors.

Caillou's family is at a pool, but Caillou is scared of the big pool and wants to stay in the baby pool where Rosie is. Caillou's dad decides to teach Caillou how to swim. Caillou seems to be making progress, but he is scared again. His dad helps him realize that he can stand in the water, and Caillou's feeling confident again. Caillou is soon going to be an aweesome swimmer.

Caillou's parents go out to dinner, and they get a 15-year old babysitter named Julie to watch Caillou and Rosie. Caillou says he doesn't want a new babysitter, but they say Caillou and Rosie will have fun. Caillou doesn't get along with Julie at first, but as Julie tells Caillou a silly joke, he laughs and plays with Julie. Rosie and Julie play restaurant and Caillou joins in, and they all have fun. Then when it is time for bed, Caillou says that he and Julie had lots of fun to his mommy and daddy.

Scene opens with Caillou watching hockey. Caillou promply decides loudly that he wants to be a hockey player. Caillou's mom tells Caillou that to become a hockey player he must first learn to scate. Caillou boasts that he can skate the fastest in the world. When Caillou goes outside and tries to skate, he discovers that it's not as easy as it seems. He keeps trying dispite always falling down. Finally, he decides to give up, but with a little encouragement from his dad, he gives it one more shot. Finally, Caillou can skate. Now he has to learn to turn. The end.

Caillou's visiting the park with is grandpa when he comes across new. The boy introduces himself as Jim. Jim's mom then comes about and heads off with Caillou's grandpa. Jim, however, was the brash kind. He just simply grabs whatever he wants without asking. Caillou is intimidated and decides that he doesn't like Jim. Jim's mom then comes around again and have a talk with Jim. So, finally Jim realises his mistakes and apologizes to Caillou. Apology accepted, and they're both friends now. The end.

Caillou's Mom and Rosie are going out for the day. This means he and his Dad can finally work on a surprise for Caillou's mom: A bookshelf. They then accidentally get paint all over themselves when they realized that they haven't any paint to go on top of the undercoat. So, they go out and get some. Then they grabbed a hotdog. When Caillou's mom returns, she's pleasantly surprised by the shelf, and the book Caillou made for her that's on it. The end.

Caillou's grandpa is over helping Caillou's mom make a vegetable patch. He gives Caillou a special mission: to grow carrots on the vegetable patch. Caillou wonders where the carrots are, and he's told that he has to plant the seeds and water them to make them grow into carrots. Caillou plants the seeds and gives them water, but nothing sprouts. Caillou is then told it'll take all summer. So, he waits, checking on the carrots every day and chasing off any possible threat to the carrots. Finally, the day to pick the carrots has come. Caillou runs out and check, only to find leaves again. But his grandpa gives those leaves a tug, and out pops some bright red carrots. Later that day, Caillou eats the carrots. And even though he still hates vegetables, he think that the carrots were pretty good. The end.

Caillou and the family go to a theme park. Caillou rides a water ride with his Dad and the whole family stops for cotton candy. They all ride the ferris wheel. Then Caillou notices a ringtoss game with a huge bear as a prize. Caillou's Dad plays and wins the bear.

Caillou sees the school bus go by his window every day and he wants to go on a ride with it. He asks Dad when he can ride on the school bus and Dad says that he can't until his next birthday. Caillou, though, is 4 and so he wants to go on the school bus (all together now, really whiny) NOW. Dad says that they can go and see the school bus up close. They get up early the next day. Sarah asks Caillou if he's coming on the bus. Dad says no, but then the bus driver sees Caillou's Dad and realizes that he knows him. Dad greets the bus driver as Mr. Washington. The driver says that he looks forward to taking Caillou to school on the bus when the time comes. He offers to let Caillou ride on the bus the next day, if he can clear it with his boss. The next day, the bus comes and Mr. Washington tells Caillou to get on the bus. Caillou goes to the school and back. Dad has Caillou thank Mr. Washington. Mr. Washington says that he'll see Caillou after his next birthday.

Caillou plays dinosaur hunter with Gilbert and then his Dad stops him for a snack. When he comes back, Gilbert's gone and he gets upset as he specifically told Gilbert to stay. He looks all around and Mommy notes that he's probably sleeping in a bedroom. Mom helps Caillou to play detective. They eventually find Gilbert under Caillou's bedsheets.

Caillou wakes up really early. He's hungry, so he goes downstairs and decides to make breakfast for himself and subsequently everyone. Rosie's awake, so he enlists her help. He tries to be quiet so he can surprise his parents. Gilbert comes in and Caillou feeds him --- a bit too much. Cailou tries to set the table and breaks a dish. Mom goes down to check and Caillou tells her not come in because it's a surprise. Mom leaves, not having the presence of mind to save her kitchen from rack and ruin. Finally, Caillou's finished. Mom and Dad arrive and Caillou presents his surprise breakfast.

Caillou's Mom brings up laundry to his room and he needs a pair of socks. He finds one, but not the other. He goes down to the basement to look in the washing machine. He's too short to reach the washing machine, so he goes up looking for a chair, but the doorknob breaks off the door. Daddy is around and he opens the door. They go down to look for the sock together, but it's not there. Mom closes the door again and they get stuck downstairs once again. They call Mom and she opens the door. Dad goes to fix the door and Mom shows Caillou the laundry basket. His sock was in there the whole time.

Caillou's Mommy has taken Caillou to work with her. When they go into the work building Caillou has trouble going through the revolving door. Caillou has trouble moving it but wants to do it again once he makes it through. Caillou and Caillou's Mommy then get in the elevator and is Caillou nervous when sees people he hasn't met before. They then go to Caillou's Mommy's office. Caillou draws Caillou's Mommy a picture, she can't play with him yet but Caillou talks to Caillou's Daddy on the phone. Later Caillou and Caillou's Mommy have lunch with Teddy and Caillou's Mommy puts Caillou's picture on her buliten board just as Caillou's Daddy comes in, he thinks the picture looks great. Caillou's Daddy then takes Caillou home.

Caillou's friend Clementine comes over to play. Clementine wants to play Family but Caillou gets upset because he wants to play dinosaurs & Clementine is playing with his teddy bear & stuffed bunny without his permission. After Caillou gets upset his mom calms everyone down & has both Caillou & Clementine apologize to one another. Clementine's brother Billy then comes over to play baseball with everyone.

Caillou and Daddy are in the garden and Caillou notices a dead bird on the ground. Caillou asks if it's dead and Dad affirms. He suggests burying it and Caillou agrees. They bury the bird and Caillou asks Dad point-blank why the bird died. Dad says that it's a tough question and the narrator interjects that Caillou didn't think that it was such a tough question. Dad decides that it's for the best not to tell Caillou about the bird's unfortunate run-in with Gilbert and says that the bird died because it was too old. Caillou accepts this, but seems troubled. Throughout his day, Caillou hears a number of people comment about how old they are. Dad has trouble reading the paper and comments that he must need glasses- he's getting old. Sarah got in-line skates for her birthday- she's a whole year older. When Daddy is tucking Caillou into bed that night, he says that Caillou is getting bigger and older every day. Caillou breaks down. He explains his concern about he bird and Dad tells him tha

Caillou and his daddy arrive at that park and Caillou goes to the playground and pretends that he is on train. Then, Clementine shows up and wants to go down the slide. Caillou slides down one of the small tubes, but Clementine wanted him to go down the big slide. Caillou doesn't want to, so he convinces Clementine to continue playing train with him. Soon, Clementine wants him to go down the slide. Caillou tries not to be afraid, but once he gets to the top he is very scared and tells his daddy to come up with him. Daddy convinces Caillou to slide and they go down together. Clementine isn't impressed that Caillou was so scared. So Caillou goes down the slide alone. It is then time to go home, but Caillou asks his daddy if he can do it on more time. Caillou ends up having so much time that he ends up sliding many times before he and Clementine are finally ready to go.

Caillou's grandma is watching Rover again. Caillou takes Rover out for a walk. Rover is a very obedient dog. When they reached the park, Caillou plays with Rover a bit. Caillou then decides that he wants a pet dog. But they already have Gilbert. SO, Caillou attaches a leash to his plush dog and pretends to walk it. The end.

Caillou's mom is sick. So Caillou is put in charge of watching over Rosie while she has a nap. Unfortunately, Rosie got out of control and started scribbling on the walls. Caillou tries to stop her, but fails. Caillou's mom then wakes up and sees the mess. She's disappointed with Caillou, but helps him clean up anyway.

Caillou wakes up not feeling well and so his Mommy suggests he sleep some more. When he wakes up again, he has spots all over him. He has the chicken pox. He doesn't like it at all. His Mommy gives him some baths to help relieve the itching. He's also given red-colored dots to put on Rexy and as his chicken pox clears up, he removes the dots from Rexy. Unfortunately, although he's cured, Rosie now has the chicken pox. Caillou assures her that she'll take lots of baths and her spots will go away, just like the ones that were on his dinosaur.

Caillou has important stuff to tell Mommy. Rosie tore up a book and he drew her a picture and wants to show it to her. Every time he tries to speak to her though, he's interrupted by the ringing of the telephone and Mom's forced to ignore him. Then a call comes in and Mom hands the phone over to Caillou. It's Grandma. She comes over with a dog she regularly dogsits, Rover. When the phone rings, Rover goes nuts and Caillou discovers that he and Rover have something in common.

Caillou's sleeping over at Leo's place. He nearly forgot Teddy, but then remembers just in the nick of time. At Leo's place, Caillou has lots of fun, but got homesick when dinnertime arrives. By bedtime, Caillou wants to go home, but after a phone call to Mommy, Caillou decides to sleep over after all. The end.

Caillou and Rosie are playing together. Then Mom comes in and tells them to clean up their toys. But Caillou sees Rosie still playing and asks why she's not cleaning up. Mom tries to get Rosie to clean up and at first she does, but then she starts playing again. Mom explains that she's still too little, but Caillou won't have it and decides he's too little too. He asks for milk in a training cup like Rosie and his sandwich in little pieces and a bib. Then, Caillou and Rosie play baby together until Mom appears and stops them both for a nap! Caillou goes along at first, but then gets up. He tells Mom that he wants to be four again.

Caillou and Rosie and the family go on a plane. The adventurous boy Caillou has never flown on a plane before and finds out it's a great experience.

Caillou's playing block when Rosie comes around and knocks part of the structure down. Caillou asks Rosie to leave him alone, but she refuses. Caillou calls for Mommy, but mommy's busy. Caillou departs for his room and go read a book. Rosie comes bother him again, and Caillou hits Rosie with the book. Rosie cries. Caillou's mom comes and ask Caillou if he made Rosie cry. Caillou denies it. He plays by himself for a while, but then starts feeling bored. He remembered that playing with Rosie was fun. So, he makes things up to her and plays with her. The end.

Caillou goes birdwatching at the park with grandma. At first, Caillou doesn't think that there's any birds there, but Grandma tells him to listen. Sure enough, there are sounds of birds. Grandma then teaches Caillou some pretty nifty tricks. Later, she gives Caillou a bird feeder. The end.

Scene opens with Caillou watching his mommy put on make-up. She has to go out for a while, and Julie will be there any minute. Julie arrives. She feeds Rosie lunch and then go make Rosie take a nap. She asks Caillou to go play by himself for a while. Caillou chances upon Rosie's doll, and decides to apply mommy's make up onto it. Suddenly, Rosie calls out for Julie. She can't sleep without her doll. Caillou tries to hide the doll with the make-up, but Julie finds it anyway. Caillou's mom returns. Caillou breaks down and confesses. He just wanted the doll to look pretty like his mommy. They try to clean it up. And dispite failing to completely remove the stains completely, Rosie still likes the doll. The end.

Caillou shows off on his bike, falls, scrapes his knee, and gets several Band Aids as appeasement from his mother. The consequences of over-extending one's abilities to show off, go untouched. Caillou proceeds to shows off(!) his Band Aids to neighbors. This is a rather nonsensical treatment of a possibly good learning situation.

Andre's coming over to play soccer with Caillou. Problem is, Caillou has the proverbial stool foot. He fails to kick the ball, and decides that he doesn't want to play anymore. He gets reminded of the time he learned to skate. He gives it one more go, and successfully kicks the ball. The end.

Caillou's in the garden with mommy when Sarah comes over and shows Caillou her magnifying glass. Caillou and Sarah plays jungle explorer, pretending that a caterpillar is a jungle monster and Gilbert is a ferocious lion. Caillou and Sarah then hears a really loud noise. Caillou thinks that it's jungle drums, but Sarah thinks that it's just thunder. Caillou then go relates his story to mommy, who tells him that the noise is sending them a message: go indoors lest you want to get wet. The end.

Caillou and his friends are putting on a play at daycare. They dress up in costumes. Caillou is the sun, Clementine is assigned to be a flower and Leo is a raincloud. Clementine puts on an apparently overly dramatic act of being thirsty from heat because the daycare supervisor tells them to get serious. They put on their play for their parents, but not without a few hitches.

Caillou and Rosie gets ready for Halloween, but Rosie bails out in the last minute because she is suddenly reminded on how she used to hate clowns by her costme, leaving Caillou to go out with daddy. Caillou meets up with Leo and Clementine, and they go around the neighbourhood trick-or-treating together. They all then go over to Caillou's place. The end.

Leo tags along with Caillou and his family on a picnic. They play Knights and Dragons, have the picnic lunch, and play some more. Suddenly, thunder can be heard. Caillou and Leo pretends that it's a dragon's roar. Rosie's beginning to fret because of thunder, but Caillou and Leo pledges to protect Rosie. It then starts to rain, so they quicklly pack up and run for the nearest cave. They then proceed to keep Rosie occupied so that she ignores the thunder. The rain finally stops, and they all head home. The end.

Say "hello" to the little boy named Caillou. He lives with his mommy and daddy, sister Rosie and cat Gilbert and he is getting bigger every day. His imagination is also expanding with help from his stuffed friends Matthew Theodore Bear and Rexie the dinosaur. This episode is all about growing up. What will Caillou be when he grows up? WIll he be a pack-rat like his daddy? What's it like to ride the schoolbus? Does he have to grow up if that means that someday he will be TOO old? Caillou is pretending to be a pirate. He's at the park with Dad and Grandpa. Dad comments to Grandpa that he can't wait until Caillou's a bit older so that he can teach him how to play football. To stay healthy it takes alot of work. You have to wash, brush your teeth, eat good and get plenty of excercise. As Caillou finds out, you also have to go to the dentist and the doctor for regular check-ups. Even daddys get sick sometimes, unfortunately for Caillou it is on the day when daddy was going to take him to work. That's ok because Caillou has to help mommy take care of daddy. When Teddy gets sick he has Rexy and Gilbert to make him all better again. Those itchy bumps can mean only one thing...Caillou has the chicken pox!

When you're a pet, you must go to the vet. Like humans, pets need to eat well and get exercise in order to stay healthy. Caillou and Gilbert learn that sometimes you even have to rescue your pet. Poor Gilbert gets stuck in a tree, but once he is safe and sound Caillou gets a ride in the fire truck and even gets a tour of the station house. As the family pet, Gilbert puts up with a lot, including playing dress-up, but in the end most of what he gets is love. Even Rexy enjoys the attention that comes with being Gilbert's pet.

Caillou is a big help around the house, especially when it comes to helping to take care of Rosie.

This episode, Caillou spends being creative. With grandpa's help he makes a paper hat for his daddy. Later with grandma, he and Rosie make their own instruments so that they can play with grandma in her band. Real kids get get creative and draw, paint and make things out of clay. Caillou, Leo and Clementine put on a show at school. Caillou plays the very important part of the sun. Even Theodore Bear gets into the act, making a collage with things from the garden.

It's Mother's Day and for mommy's special day, Caillou's family goes to a retaurant for brunch. Rexie learns from Teddy all about manners and how to behave properly. Caillou gets to be Sarah's little brother for a day and go to school with her. Caillou just wants to play by himself but Rosie won't let him.

Things that go bump in the night, and others that light up the sky, are on everyone's mind today. A family corn roast dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's under the star-studded sky prompts Grandpa to bring out his telescope and introduce Caillou to the constellations, planets, and moon. Grandpa discovers a new planetarium is opening and there's a prize for the best space costume. Caillou is thrilled when the winner turns out to be...a surprise! But fun turns to fear at bedtime when Caillou decides that a monster is lurking in his room. All's well when Mom and Dad unmask Caillou's monster as a tree branch on the window! Then, during a winter storm, the lights go out and Caillou is very afraid. Dad builds a fire in the fireplace and the family pretends they're camping. They even toast marshmallows!

A day of new discoveries! Caillou loses his voice, finds a frog in his throat, and finds other neat ways to communicate, until the frog goes away. Later on, Caillou is missing one of his favorite socks. He searches the house, and accidentally locks himself in the basement. Daddy comes to the rescue - only he locks himself in the basement too. All is well when Mommy saves them both and finds the missing sock. Then, Caillou, Rosie and Julie, their babysitter, go on a scavenger hunt.

In the puppet segments, Teddy is out raking leaves, while Deedee is busy gathering nuts for the winter. Gilbert sees Teddy raking the leaves and says that he'll come and help him later, but for the time being, he's going go have a catnap. Rexy also notices Teddy raking the leaves and asks him why he's doing it. After pestering him with ""why"" questions for a little while, he asks him if he's seen Deedee. Teddy says that he has, but tries to warn Rexy that Deedee is busy. Rexy doesn't listen and goes and asks Deedee if she wants to play pirates. Deedee is so busy that she doesn't really have time to do much more than say that she can't. Rexy doesn't understand why she'd choose gathering nuts over playing pirates, since playing pirates is much more fun. He decides to try playing pirates himself to show how much fun it is, but just ends up playing by himself. He starts to get sad and then Gilbert comes out, apparently having finished his catnap and asks him what he's doing by himself. Rexy

It's sunrise and the puppets are just waking up. The puppets all see the beautiful sunbeams and it inspires them to use their imaginations. Teddy thinks that it's a magical day, a good to imagine a song. Gilbert imagines he's dancing to music and Rexy pretends that he's conducting an orchestra. Eventually, everyone comes together and they all use their imaginations to put together everything they've been imagining. Caillou is imagining things too, from seeing things in clouds to fantasizing a pretend friend. ""Caillou's Clouds"" Mommy, Caillou and Rosie are out at the park having a picnic. Caillou also has another reason to be excited about being at the park - he has a kite that he wants to try out. He tries it, but he can't get it to work. He runs, but it won't fly and he gets to thinking that it's broken. Mommy tells him that it isn't going to fly right now since there really isn't any wind. So they settle down to eat their food and then Mommy pushes Caillou and Rosie on the swings. Ca

In one segment, Caillou learns that he lives at 17 Pine St. when a letter addressed to him is mistakenly delivered to his next-door neighbor Sarah. In other segments, Caillou learns to ice skate and attempts teaching the alphabet to his little sister Rosie. Beginning with this episode, there is only one puppet segment and it features Rexy forming a band. Rexy is looking for musicians and instruments and he manages to get Teddy and Gilbert to join his band, although at first Gilbert won't join right away, as he's busying practicing his tai-chi. He comes up with a name for them, ""Rexy's Rock Band"" and chooses the trumpet for himself to play. When Rexy tries to play the trumpet at first, it sounds awful and he believes the instrument to be broken. The puppets tell him that he just needs to learn how to play and practie. He thinks he hears a volcano, but it turns out that it's actually thunder. Gilbert shows up and says that it was thunder and they'd best be getting inside. Rexy can't believe this is happening. He's not done exploring yet. It's starting to rain and it's totally spoiled his plans. Gilbert and Teddy say that rain is important. It helps to water the flowers, among other things. Rexy is still upset and sings a song about how there's nothing to do and he wasn't expecting this. Eventually, he changes his mind and decides that it could be fun to play indoors. Just then, though, the sky clears up and Gilbert and Teddy send him o

In the puppet segment, Rexy, Teddy and Gilbert are assembling a bird feeder, step by step. Gilbert has the instructions and he says that the first step is to take the birdfeeder out of the box. They've already done that, so they move to the next step, which is to assemble the birdfeeder. Hearing that, Rexy wonders if that step comes with instructions. Teddy looks at it and figures it out, though, so it is quickly assembled. Gilbert reads Step 3, find a perfect spot and hang the birdfeeder. So the puppets begin looking for a spot, singing a song as they do, about how ""working together is so much fun"" and ""you help me and I'll help you."" They find a perfect spot, but notice that the birds aren't coming. They wonder what's wrong at first and Rexy asks if perhaps there's a Step 4. Gilbert looks at the instructions and sees that Rexy is absolutely right. The fourth and most important step is to put food in the birdfeeder. Gilbert wonders how Rexy knew and Rexy explains that he figured it wo

Today, Rexy is dressed in a cape and mask, trying to pretend to be a superhero. He's looking for something superheroic to do. He hears windchimes and pretends that they're sound of an approaching dragon. He pretends to track the dragon saying that the dragon isn't fooling him and he's not afraid of it. Gilbert and Teddy come out and see him pretending. Gilbert wonder what he's doing and Teddy explains it to him. Gilbert thinks it sounds like fun and wants to join in. Gilbert roars, pretending to be something evil. Rexy gets scared, thinking that it's real at first, but Teddy tells him that it's just Gilbert pretending. He tells Rexy he knows how he can fight the dragon. He has Rexy turn on the garden hose and spray him with it. Gilbert says that it isn't fair, he was just pretending. Rexy tells him that nobody messes with Super Rexy and gets away dry. As for Caillou, he's not playing superhero, or anything villainous either, but he does pretend to be a robot and also goes on a pretend

In the puppet segment, Gilbert and Teddy are fanning each other because it's very hot. Rexy comes outside, saying that Caillou's Daddy just gave the ""green light"" to fill up the pool. Gilbert says that he would help out, but he can't move, the heat is simply unbearable. Rexy begins filling the pool - with toys. He thinks he has it all ready, but then Teddy tells him that he's forgetting something. Rexy says that Teddy is right, he's forgotten the most important thing. He goes inside and comes back out wearing a mask and snorkel. So Gilbert tells him that the missing ingredient is water. Rexy heads back inside, leading Gilbert and Teddy to wonder what he's doing. He comes back out with a small bucket of water that isn't nearly enough to fill the pool. Gilbert suggests that he use a hose. Teddy helps Rexy with this, but at first can't get it to work. Gilbert tells him that he needs to turn it on. So he does, but ends up spraying Gilbert with water. Gilbert says that this time, though, he

The puppets are all outside, imagining things in the clouds. Gilbert spots a bird in a tree and they all hear it singing. They don't really understand it, but they figure if maybe they sing a song, it'll help, since birds communicate by singing. They sing a big number called ""The Animal Song"" with lots of different animal sounds. Once they're done, Rexy asks if the bird liked it and it chirps back as if it did. Caillou also enjoys seeing and interacting with a bunch of different animals. ""Elephants"" Caillou is inside, showing Rosie animals in a storybook. He points out an elephant to Rosie. Mommy comes in and says that they'll see some today during the trip to the zook. They go to the zoo and Cailou sees a parrot.He likes it, but he really wants to go see the elephants. So they follow a sign, which has a picture of an elephant pointining in one direction and a picture of a whale pointing in another. They see a monkey on the way to the elephants. Teddy wins and gets to hang the birdhouse. Once it's hung up, Rexy decides to stay put and watch and see if any birds come. When none show up a first, he begins getting bored. He goes inside and comes back out dressed like carnival hawker and starts calling out for all the birds to come. Teddy comes and tells him that he has to be quiet and wait patiently if he wants the birds to come. Rexy says that he wishes the birds would hurry. Just then, Gilbert goes chasing after a butterfly. Teddy goes to stop him and while he's doing that and Rexy waits, a butterfly lands on his back and a caterpillar starts crawling up it. In the puppet segment, the puppets are reading a story. As they're reading, Rexy notices that there's a balloon near him. He figures it must have traveled all throughout the neighborhood before finally reaching him. He makes up a song all about its journeys. Teddy decides to go and get something to tie the balloon down. As he does this, the balloon pulls Rexy upward and it's not long before he's floating in the air. He calls for Gilbert's help, but Gilbert can't really do anything. Teddy comes back out and tosses Rexy the string he went to get. Rexy finally makes it back to down to the ground and says he has an idea. So Gilbert and Teddy finish the story, while Rexy floats atop the now tied-down balloon and looks all throughout the neighborhood. Caillou is exploring his neighborhood too, but he's staying on the ground. ""Caillou's Horn"" Gilbert is outside chasing a butterfly. Caillou tries to catch the butterfly with his net, but misses. Sarah shows up and shows Caillou an old toy horn

Gilbert says that he needs to put dirt in the pot next and suggests that he use a shovel. Rexy does, but is only able to get a little dirt into the pot with his small shovel. He asks Gilbert and Teddy to come and help him out. They do and it's not long before the flower is planted and watered. Rexy says that they can all talk to the flower too, but Gilbert and Teddy aren't so sure about that. ""Caillou Helps Grandpa"" Caillou and Daddy are outside, walking to Grandpa's house. "Caillou and the Big Slide" At playschool, Caillou pretends to be a mountain-climber. It comes time for a trip to the pool. There are swings there and Caillou and his friends enjoy swinging on them. Then, their teacher Ms. Martin introduces them to Mary, the lifeguard. Leo calls Caillou to come try the waterslide. Caillou comes over, but seems a bit scared by it. He climbs up the ladder, but then climbs back down. Ms. Martin tells him that there was a time when she was afraid of swinging on the swings. She suggests that he give it another try. Caillou imagines that he is rafting down a mountain. He gives it a go and finds that he enjoys the waterslide. "Caillou the Sailor" Mommy and Daddy are all dressed up and going out for a party. They tell Caillou and Rosie that Grandpa coming over to babysit and bringing a surprise. Grandpa arrives, carrying a bag. However, when Caillou asks what's in it, Grandpa quips that it's his dirty socks and asks Caillou if he can wash them. Caillou calls him on this and he admits that it is the surprise --- a book about ships and sailing and a small telescope. Caillou has fun looking through the telescope, but Rosie has trouble closing just one eye to look through it. Grandpa reads a story from the book and suggests that Caillou and Rosie can be his crew. There's a storm outside, but Grandpa works the sound of the thunder into the game. Rosie starts to get tired and Grandpa puts her to bed. Caillou fantasizes about being the captain of a ship. Mommy and Daddy arrive home and Caillou shows Daddy the telescope. Grandpa then puts Caillou to bed and "Captain" Caillou says that he's not afraid of thunder anymore. "Caillou and the Creepy Crawlies" Caillou and Rosie are playing in the living room and Gilber's there too. He spots a spider and starts playing with it. Rosie notices this and says that the spider is yucky. Caillou tries to tell her that it isn't, mentioning that he learned all about bugs in playschool. Mommy suggests that they have a picnic outside and Caillou can draw some pictures of bugs and teach Rosie all about them. At first, it doesn't work, but then a ladybug lands on Rosie and she thinks it's kind of pretty. Caillou then shows her ants, noting that his teacher, Ms. Martin, read the class about all of the different jobs that ants have. He shows her a caterpillar and then a butterfly, and Rosie happily states that she likes the "flutterby." Caillou imagines that he's as small as a bug and that Rosie is flying high in the air on a "flutterby." Back in the real world, it would seem that Caillou has in fact taught Rosie to like bugs.

Wintertime brings lots of new experiences. Sarah teaches Caillou to build a snowman, Dad helps him stay upright on his ice skates (and picks him up when he falls down), and Mom shows Caillou the fine points of downhill skiing, including how not to be afraid of the ski lift. Meanwhile, Rexy has never seen snow and thinks the backyard is disappearing. The shimmering winter blanket inspires Gilbert to write a poem. And, Teddy, in true bear style, just craves a long winter’s nap! But soon, a glorious sight makes everyone sit up and take notice. When Caillou and Dad get to the vendor too late to buy a good Christmas tree, they decorate one in the yard instead. All the beautiful colored lights chase away the winter gloom.

It's a very special holiday for Caillou when he learns about Christmas traditions around the world and the importance of giving and sharing. When Caillou wonders just how many days there are left until Christmas, his Daddy gives him a Christmas calendar featuring holiday traditions from countries around the world in every window. Caillou also goes tobogganing, learns how to ski and plays Hanukah games with his friend Leo. Caillou also gives away some of his toys when he learns about children around the world that are in need of toys such as his old ones he no longer plays with. Caillou's little sister Rosie also gets in on the Christmas fun. When Mom offers to help Rosie with making gifts, Rosie decides to try it on her own.

Ihr Fossil soll neben dem Dinosaurier ausgestellt werden....

Caillou und Rosie dürfen mit Papi im Auto durch die Waschstraße fahren. Rosie hat Angst. Doch Caillou kann sie beruhigen. Als der Babysitter eines abends einen Kinderatlas mitbringt, ist Caillou begeistert. Und ruck, zuck wird das Haus in eine Abenteuerlandschaft verwandelt....

Caillou und seine Mutter begleiten Clementine und ihre Mutter zu einem Picknick. Caillou hat aber schon vorher so viel gegessen, dass in seinem Magen kein Platz mehr für Clementines Sandwich ist. Dabei hat sie es doch extra für ihn zubereitet! Als Caillou heraus bekommt, dass seine Eltern abends eine Party feiern, will er so lange aufbleiben, bis die Gäste kommen....

Als der Ausflug in den Zoo ausfällt, spielen Caillou, Clementine und Leo im Garten Zoobesuch. Das ist richtig spannend! Julie muss babysitten. Sie erklärt Caillou, dass sie ein tolles Spiel mitgebracht hat. Als Caillou aber sieht, dass es aus lauter Papierschnipseln besteht, versteht er die Welt nicht mehr. Das soll toll sein?...

Der Babysitter fällt aus. Zuerst springt Mr. Hinkle ein, dann kommt auch noch Mrs. Martin dazu. Ehe die Beiden sich versehen, ist Caillou zum Entertainer geworden und unterhält das ganze Haus. Caillou darf Clementine und ihre Eltern zum Erdbeerpflücken begleiten. Er findet das zwar sehr spannend, aber es ist doch etwas anderes, wenn man nicht mit den eigenen Eltern unterwegs ist?...

Caillous Familie will verreisen. Caillou ist aufgeregt und will seinen Koffer selber packen. Leider passen aber nicht alle Kleider hinein. Und auch für sein Spielzeug ist nicht genug Platz. Schließlich kommt Mami zu Hilfe. Warum nur gelingt es Caillou nicht, seine Schnürsenkel zuzubinden? Er ist ungeduldig und versucht es immer wieder, bis Caillou merkt, dass man Geduld auch lernen kann....
