Kanji Nagao moves to Tokyo for a job and meets his coworker Rika. Later, he reunites with his high school friends Satomi and Mikami, who is with Rika.

Episode 2
Nagao takes Satomi to a hockey game with tickets from Rika, who suddenly arrives as well. After the game, Nagao asks Rika about an office rumor.

Episode 3
Nagao tells Satomi he knows she likes Mikami, putting her at a loss for words. After a talk with Rika, Nagao resolves to support his friends' romance.

Episode 4
After spending the night with Rika, Nagao is tasked with selling some new tennis shoes to department stores. The next day, Mikami asks him a favor.

Episode 5
On a hot springs trip, Satomi makes up with Mikami, and Rika enjoys her time with Nagao. Later, a woman shows up at Satomi's place asking for Mikami.

Als Satomi im Krankenhaus landet, besuchen Nagao und Rika sie und finden Mikami bei ihr. Naoko kommt ebenfalls vorbei und verkündet, dass sie heiraten wird.

Waga tells Nagao to let Rika go to LA. After receiving a phone call from Satomi, Nagao goes to her apartment, where they reminisce about high school.

Having stood Rika up, Nagao has an awkward time facing her at the office the next day and struggles to find the words to convey how he feels.
