Feature length pilot episode. Investigative crime writer Maddy Magellan joins forces with quirky magic expert Jonathan Creek to investigate when a painter, called Hedley Shale, is murdered in suspicious circumstances. However the way in which he was murdered doesn't quite add up.

When veteran comedian Jack Holiday is found dead in a locked nuclear bunker inside a cliff, it looks like an open and shut case of suicide. However, Jack had crippling arthritis and couldn't even peel a banana himself let alone hold a gun to his head! But if it was murder....how did the murderer escape?

Zola Zbzewski's plastic surgeon is found shot to death in his home, and she claims she knows nothing about it. The fact he would have ruined the launch of her new book gives her no motive at all! But when Zola turns up dead in Maddy's wardrobe, things start to look suspicious...

Roy Pilgrim an old rocker from the 60's comes home from his run only to be knocked out and chained to his radiator. Meanwhile at four O'clock a fan of his arrives at his house and walks in. However at four O'clock all Roy saw was a frog enter and then leave...where did Tracy go...?

When an actress is murdered on the set of her latest movie, Jonathan is called upon to explain how the killer managed to fire a gun though a plate glass window without breaking it. The funeral, held at the ancient Doomdorf Castle in Scotland presents more mysteries and Jonathan, without Maddy, has only a pushy showbiz agent (Julia Sawalha) to trust.
4. Staffel 4 (9 Episoden)
Der Meister der Illusion nutzt erneut sein Genie, um scheinbar unmögliche Verbrechen aufzuklären – unterstützt und nicht selten auch behindert von seiner neuen Sparringspartnerin Carla Borrego, Moderatorin einer Krimiserie.
