Nachdem ihre Eltern einen Mordkomplott zum Opfer gefallen sind, weil sie politischen Einfluss hatten, werden die Zwillinge Thor und Rai von den Verschwörern auf den geheimen Planeten Chimera verbannt. Dort stellen sie fest, dass es sich hierbei um eine Gefängniskolonie handelt, in der eine unwirtliche Vegetation voller riesiger fleischfressender Pflanzen jedes menschliche Leben bedroht. Doch das ist nicht alles: Es gibt vier rivalisierende Stämme, die alle einer Person unterstellt sind - dem König der Bestien! Wer diesem höllischen Ort jemals entkommen will, muss hart sein, kämpfen und selbst zur Bestie werden, da der soziale Stand in blutigen Zweikämpfen ausgefochten wird. Und um Chimera zu entfliehen, muss man in der Hierarchie zum König der Bestien aufsteigen. Einer Legende nach ist er nämlich der Einzige, der diesen Planeten verlassen kann.

The last words of Zagi is tormenting Thor with inexpressible anxiety. Arriving at the space port, Thor is greeted by none other than Odin, the one who murdered his parents. He tells him the real reason for exiling Thor on Chimera.

Odin decides recklessly to proceed with his own plan by activating the device resulting in acceleration of the planet's rotation and the destruction of human life. Thor is heading to the "Valkyrie", the computer control system, in an attempt to deactivate the device.
