Le petit Saïd a 10 ans. C'est un bon élève, habitué aux félicitations de son institutrice. Mais cette année, Saïd entre au collège. Anonyme parmi les 1 200 élèves de l'établissement, tout petit parmi les " grands ", fragile face aux dangers qui l'entourent (racket, complots, menaces, trafics divers et variés), Saïd perd ses repères et a bien du mal à résister à ce monde hostile. D'autant que son propre frère est tombé dans la délinquance et voudrait l'entraîner à sa suite. Face à la pression de plus en plus forte, et aux tentations de plus en plus nombreuses, Saïd s'accroche à ce qu'il peut : une sortie en ville, un tableau au musée, son ami Antoine ... Cela suffira-t-il pour sauver Saïd ?
