Callgirl Christine Keeler wird vom Modearzt Stephen
Ward in die High Society eingeführt und verdreht dort
hochrangigen Politikern den Kopf. Als ihre Affäre mit
dem britischen Verteidigungsminister und dem
russischen Militärattaché publik wird, nimmt ein
riesiger Politskandal seinen Anfang...
Der sogenannte Profumo-Sex-Skandal als amusänte Unterhaltung. Der gebürtige Schotte Michael Caton-Jones drehte seine ersten Filme auf der National Film School in London. Danach arbeitete er hauptsächlich für das britische Fernsehen, bevor er mit "Scandal" sein Kinofilmdebüt vorstellte. Weitere Filme von Caton-Jones sind "Memphis Belle" (1990), "Doc Hollywood" (1991), "This Boy´s Life" (1993), "Rob Roy" (1995), "Der Schakal" (1997) und die TV- Serie "Trinity".
